We can confirm that the Evorel Sequi Patches is a treatment that contains two types of patches (Evorel Conti and Evorel), which work together to imitate the female sex hormones oestrogen and progesterone. Evorel Sequi is a form of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used to treat symptoms of menopause. Evorel Sequi is known as a sequential hormone replacement therapy because it contains two types of patches. Each box contains four Evorel 50 patches that contain just an oestrogen called estradiol. The box also contains four Evorel Conti patches that, as well as estradiol, also contain synthetic progesterone called norethisterone. It can be such a challenging time for so many! This is the one her doctor felt was best for her, but there are lots to try, so be sure to keep trying others if you don't find the one for you. A little more about Katie's Evorel Conti patches... Evorel Conti patches contain 2 hormones which decline naturally during and after menopause, called oestrogen (oestradiol) and progestogen (norethisterone). These artificial versions of the hormones act like the natural hormones that are declining. Evorel Conti patches treat menopausal symptoms, providing relief from menopausal symptoms. This is a combined form of HRT. Combined HRT means taking progestogen and oestrogen every day without a break. Oestrogen is given to relieve symptoms, whilst progestogen is given to replace progesterone for women who have a womb in order to protect the womb. All new studoes say you should not take oestrogen oral...i have taken it for some months and my cholesterol was going absolutley crazzy high...as my triglitzeride..my liver could not metabolish the oestrogen tabletts well...since tcan i mist take cholesterin tabletts.." Statine". So be all aware..it can be quiet dangerous to take oestrogen tabletts...and modern stadies as i said they recommand oestrogen or oestradial creme

Katecarlyon4509...I'm not a doctor but I think going on Prozac was a rash decision.... How are your symptoms now? You could most definitely be peri menopausal. There are tests to find out if you are that your Doc should have suggested. I have a friend who was around your age when she presented with all your symptoms to her GP. Same thing, she was prescribed Prozac...Long story shortened, turned out after testing, she was most definitely peri menopausal..She's now 48 and on HRT and a different woman since.....The trouble is in peri if you are having lots of symptoms...you tend to think you're imagining them or it's something else. Sadly still today many GP's know very little about menapause(they won't admit to that though😉.) You're not alone, we're all going through it with you...some further along than others...Good Luck👍.
